About Fort Stage Ride

The Fort Stage Ride is a cross-country mountain biking (MTB XC) event designed to challenge riders while immersing them in the rich heritage and dramatic terrain of Nepal's Bagmati Province. This low-carbon tourism initiative combines adventure with cultural immersion and climate action.

The Route

This circular route begins and ends in Patan (Mangalbazar) and connects three historic forts:

• Hariharpurgadhi - Ancient hilltop fortress
• Sindhuligadhi - Historic military stronghold
• Makwanpurgadhi - Strategic mountain fort

The trail follows ancient routes through forested hills, panoramic ridgelines, riverside trails, and cultural villages.

Cultural Immersion

Stay in homestays with local Tamang, Newar, Gurung, and Magar communities. Experience authentic local hospitality, traditional cuisine, and cultural exchanges along the route.
